If you need emergency food assistance and live in the area bound by the Ottawa River, Island Park Drive, Dovercourt Avenue and Broadview Avenue, the Westboro Region Food Bank is here to help you.  If this is not your area, please visit the Ottawa Food Bank Get Help page to find the food bank agency serving you.

 

The Westboro Region Food Bank will provide three days worth of emergency food once a month.  This includes food appropriate for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Where to find us

 

We are located in the basement of All Saints' Anglican/ First United church on Richmond Road.  The Westboro Region Food Bank can be accessed using the entrance at the rear of the church at 354 Madison Avenue.

Thursday 5pm to 7pm Drop-in

Thursday 3pm-5pm APPOINTMENT ONLY

The Westboro Region Food Bank is closed on statutory holidays.

What to bring

 

On your first visit, please bring identification and Proof of Address for each person in your household.  (Proof of address is not required for children under 18.)  We also encourage you to bring your own reusable shopping bags for transporting your groceries home.

 

Identification

Your identification can be one of the following:

  • Health card

  • Birth certificate

  • Drivers licence

 

Proof of Address

Your Proof of Address can be any document that has recently been mailed to you at your current address and that shows the date, your name and your address.  Examples of a Proof of Address include:

  • bank statement

  • hydro bill

  • heating bill

  • letter from a government agency
